Contest Rules

ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open to all residents of Canada age 18 years and older except directors, officers and employees of the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI, any of the sponsoring companies or affiliated companies or their immediate families, cohabitants, agents or contractors. Although it is required to be 18 years and older to be eligible to win the contest, the winner can be accompanied by a person under the age of 18 years for the grand prize trip to Prince Edward Island. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Any and all disputes will be resolved in accordance with the laws and in the courts of the Province of PEI. Should there be a conflict between the PEI laws and any other laws, the conflict shall be resolved in favour of the PEI laws. No purchase is necessary.

ENTRIES
Entries can be submitted at www.packyourappetite.ca by entering the PIN code (located on the side of select PEI potato paper bags, and on the back of select PEI potato polybag clips) in the designated field.

You can also enter without purchase by mailing a self-addressed stamped envelope, attention "Pack Your Appetite", to the Prince Edward Island Potato Board, 90 Hillstrom Avenue, West Royalty Business Park, Charlottetown, PEI, Canada, C1E 2C6.

The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received by the contest deadline. There are no limitations on the number of entries submitted by an entrant. The prize winners will be selected via a random draw of entrants. Non-compliance with any entry procedure may result in disqualification.

PRIZES
Two Grand Prizes of:
Five (5) day and six (6) night trip for four (4) people to Prince Edward Island. Included in the grand prize is round trip airfare (economy class) for four (4) people to Prince Edward Island from a major airport within Canada, accommodations for four (4) people, three (3) unique Island Experiences, three (3) dinners and car rental.

Any expenses occurred outside the parameter of the grand prize are the responsibility of the Grand Prize recipients.

An itinerary of the culinary and cultural experiences will be provided to the Grand Prize recipients upon arrival to Prince Edward Island.

Secondary Prizes:
Fifteen (15) secondary prizes of fifty-dollar ($50.00) Grocery Store Gift Cards will be awarded separately to entrants who will be notified and provided the secondary prizes via mail through Canada Post. The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI assume no responsibility for lost items sent through Canada Post.

All travel must occur/ prize must be used on or before October 2010 otherwise the prize will be forfeited - no extensions will be permitted. If the winner does not utilize any part(s) of the prize, then any such part(s) not utilized will be forfeited in their entirety and nothing will be substituted in their place. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged, transferred or converted to cash except that the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI reserves the right to make substitutions on prizes, but solely at the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI's discretion. Prize does not include any fees, charges, taxes, gratuities, insurances, travel or personal expenses other than those costs or benefits described above. The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injury that may result from the acceptance or use of prize. By accepting the prize, the winner waives all recourse against the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI and their officers, employees, agents and contractors.

FOOD ALLERGY DISCLAIMER
The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI and the providers of the culinary and unique Island Experiences will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to foods consumed, or items one may come in contact with during the culinary and cultural experiences contained within the Grand Prize. Winner(s) concerned with food allergies need to be aware of this risk.

PUBLICATION
By entering the contest, entrants consent to the use, without payment or compensation, of their names, city of residence and image for publicity purposes in all media carried out by the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI, prize sponsors and their agents and contractors. Winners' names and photographs may be published on www.gentleisland.com and may also be published in the 2011 Island Guide.

Entrants also consent to the use, without payment or compensation, of their names and image within video recorded documentation of the culinary and unique Island Experiences associated with the grand prize to be utilized by the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI in promotional and advertising materials.

Winners may be asked to participate in other Government of PEI marketing initiatives related to promoting PEI as a destination.

DEADLINE
All entries must be received no later than 11:59pm Atlantic Standard Time on March 31st, 2010. Winner(s) will be notified by phone on or before April 30th, 2010.

GENERAL
The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost or delayed during submission. The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI are not responsible for any failure of the website during this contest. Nor are they responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software or any e-mail, online or internet entry lost due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.

The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI will be final on all aspects of the contest, including matters of fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure and fulfillment. This contest shall be subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws.

PRIVACY
By entering this contest, each entrant consents to the PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI and their agents, employees and contractors storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with his or her entry only for the purposes of administering the contest and in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act R.S.P.E.I. 1988, Cap. F-15.01. The PEI Potato Board and the Government of PEI and their agents, employees and contractors will not otherwise sell or disclose any entrant's personal information.
